A collection of classic Korean dishes, made by Chef Chunhee Nam; food design + photography by Dat Nguyen
She’s a mother, she’s a wonderful friend, she’s a kind, generous and passionate woman and she’s also a survivor, a fighter, a person who never chooses to give up in the face of hardships. When I met her almost four months ago, I never thought this would turn out to be one of the most beautiful relationships that I’ve ever had in my life. She taught me so much about life, she taught me so much about the beauty of Korean cultures, she taught me about art, and she also gave me a chance to be crazily passionate about food, photography and the art of comfort writing,
I remember the first time she made me a vegan pancake, for a moment I thought my mom was here; I remember the first time she gave me food for lunch because she was worried that I didn’t have enough time to make meals for myself, for a moment I thought my mom was here; I remember the first time we were in a coffee shop and she asked me to tell her everything about my teenager years, for a moment I thought the memories of those painful years started fading away; I remember the first time she gave me a hug and told me that I was like a son to her.
